Last week in Darwin

Since our trip to Arnhem Land we have been lazing around getting to know Darwin. Also soaking up some tourist experiences like the Aviation Heritage Museum where they have a B52 bomber on display.(Connaugh should know what this looks like) Parap Markets on Saturday morning was a change from Mindil Markets in that Parap had more local fruit and veg on sale. We also found the only Deli in Darwin almost comparable to the Fyshwick ones, as most food shopping is confined to Coles and Woolworths. We assume this is because we are in the tropics and there is a large Asian influence.
We also visited the NT Art Gallery and Museum as well as the Botanical Gardens. The Photo was taken in the grounds of the Gallery looking out to the Arafura Sea.
Saturday will see us on the road again to Katherine where we anticipate spending five or six days before heading of to the Kimberleys and Kununurra.
This relaxing is hard work but then someone has to do it!!!
